I’m Victoria Wells, a 22 year old aspiring writer from Saskatchewan. I moved to Halifax in the latter part of August 2017, and I am still not used to hills (or the ocean).
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, a very unpredictable and painful disorder, in October 2015. The condition has impacted the majority of my life, and yet it ceases to surprise me. You can read more about my experiences with that illness, as well as my experiences getting diagnosed and managing pain, here.
I was also diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in August 2014, and continue to live with symptoms. This condition is the result of some unfortunate traumatic events in my life, and a very unhealthy relationship I was in. For those who think they may be in a toxic, or abusive, relationship, consider reading this, and for those who need someone to talk to, or simply suspect a family member is being abused, visit loveisrespect.org for several resources and helpful articles.
